  • Thermoforming is a fully automated manufacturing process for plastic moulded parts that can be formed from a simple two-dimensional sheet in a plastic state by stamping and air pressure to create the end product. The process is extremely cost-effective and is mainly used for packaging applications such as drinking cups and salad bowls, but also for technical parts such as lorry wings, door panels and refrigerator housings.
  • The processing technology laboratory has its own thermoforming system. During the practical course, you will learn the basic criteria of  process control on the Illig SB 53 - C, how this can influence product quality and how mould technology influences quality. Here too, you will work independently on the machine in small groups.
