The idea of the cooperative study programme is to enable students to gain additional practical experience alongside their university education, whereby all parties involved - the companies, the students and the university - benefit from this model.

In the case of the cooperative studies, students conclude an agreement with a partner from the private sector that they will work for the company during their studies (during the lecture-free period) and usually also afterwards. In return, the company bears part of the costs of the degree programme or finances the degree programme in full.

The advantages for students: You receive a substantial financial contribution towards your studies, get to know the working and professional environment at an early stage and gain up to 100% more practical experience than students of the "regular" degree programme.

For many years now and until the summer semester 2024, the applied polymer engineering programme has been offering its students the opportunity to study in the form of a cooperative study programme. The cooperative study programme will be offered from the winter semester onwards. In the cooperative study programme, more emphasis is placed on practical experience, e.g. in examinations.
